Christine Kent, the founder of CK Communications, brings over 20 years of writing and journalism expertise to her work for technology, consumer and corporate organizations. Her journalism-driven approach enables her to not just write a document, but to find the voice of a client to tell their story in the most compelling way.
Finding a “storytelling” voice is a challenge for senior executives – and without that voice, speeches, corporate backgrounders and Web sites are just strings of flat words. Through a detailed process of interviews and research, Chris uncovers the voice of the individual, and the story they need to tell in order to drive measurable results. Her unique approach has won placements in Time, InStyle, Wired, The Washington Post, the San Francisco Chronicle and the San Jose Mercury News, as well as many trade publications.
In addition to her client work, Chris is also an editor-in-chief at Ragan Communications, the leading publisher of corporate communications, public relations, and leadership development newsletters. She launched and continues to manage Ragan’s Media Relations Report, a national newsletter on the media and PR.
Prior to founding CK Communications, Chris brought her writing expertise to Blanc & Otus Public Relations in the newly created position of writing manager, developing the agency’s writing program for its clients and PR managers. Chris is on the board of directors of Pets are Wonderful Support, a San Francisco not-for-profit.
